All-Americans Announced

The ITA All-Americans were recently announced with four Middlebury players earning the honors. Seniors Brian Waldron, Ari Beilin and Nate Edmunds all earned All-American status in singles play. Beilin, along with junior Alex Scott, were deemed All-Americans in doubles play. Edmunds, along with his partner Kevin Bergesen also earned All-American honors.

Individuals Compete At NCAA's - Waldron & Edmunds Honored

Seniors Brian Waldron, Nate Edmunds and Ari Beilin competed at the NCAA Individual Championships in Fredericksburg, Va. Brian Waldron adavanced all the way to the NCAA title match, before falling to Will Boe-Wiegaard of Bates, 6-4, 6-3. The senior had won four previous straight-set matches before advancing to the finals.

Men's Tennis Falls In NCAA Title Match

The men’s tennis team saw its hopes of winning a second NCAA Championship in three years come to an end as they fell to Emory, 4-1. The 2004 NCAA Champions and 2005 runners-up receive their second runners-up trophy in as many years. The Panthers end their season with a 22-3 record.

Men's Tennis Returns To NCAA Title Match

Middlebury will make its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship after defeating top-seeded Gustavus Adolphus 4-0 in an NCAA semifinal contest at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. The contest was a rematch of last year’s semifinal that Middlebury also won. The 2004 NCAA Champions and 2005 runners-up will take on Emory, the winner of the other semifinal, in the title match at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

Men's Tennis Advance to NCAA Semifinals

Middlebury will make its fourth straight NCAA semifinal appearance after defeating Trinity (Tx.) in a quarterfinal contest at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. The 2004 National Champions and 2005 runner-up will face Gustavus Adolphus in the semifinal for the right to advance to the 2006 NCAA title. The semifinal, a rematch of last year’s contest in which Middlebury prevailed 4-0, will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Men's Tennis Set For Run At NCAA Title

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team will make its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals after defeating Amherst 4-0 in an NCAA Regional Final in Middlebury. The Panthers will take on Trinity of Texas in a quarterfinal match-up on Wednesday, May 17th at 9:00 a.m. The championship week is taking place from May 17-22 at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.

Seven Men's Tennis Players Honored, Waldron Is Player of the Year

Seven members of the Middlebury College men’s tennis team were honored today when the All-NESCAC selections were announced. The Panthers are preparing to make another run at an NCAA title when they play a quarterfinal match-up on May 17th against Trinity of Texas in Fredericksburg, Va.

Men's Tennis Wins NCAA Regional

Middlebury will make its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals after defeating Amherst 4-0 in an NCAA Regional Final on campus. The Panthers will take part in the championship week from May 17-22 at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Md.

Men's Tennis To Host NCAA Regional

For the fifth consecutive year, the men's tennis team will host an NCAA Regional on campus. Amherst will meet M.I.T. on Saturday, May 6th at 1:00 p.m., with the winner taking on the Panthers Sunday at noon.

Men's Tennis Wins Third Straight NESCAC Title

The Middlebury College men's tennis team captured its third consecutive NESCAC Championship with a hard-fought 4-3 win over the host school from Williams. With the team score tied at three, the NESCAC title was up for grabs for the winner of the No. 1 match between Williams' Dan Greenberg and Middlebury's Brian Waldron.

Men's Tennis Advances To NESCAC Finals

Top-seeded Middlebury advanced to the NESCAC finals with a 4-3 win over Amherst in semifinal action at Williams College. Middlebury will face host and second-seeded Williams Sunday at 1 p.m. for the conference championships. The Panthers took the doubles point sweeping all three matches and won the #1, #2 and #3 singles matches in straight sets for the victory.

Men's Tennis To Defend NESCAC Title

Middlebury will look to earn a third consecutive NESCAC Men’s Tennis title this weekend when the top-seeded Panthers join five other teams in pursuit of the 2006 NESCAC Men’s Tennis Championship. Williams will host the three-day event at the Torrence M. Hunt courts in Williamstown, Mass., with the first match scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start on Friday.

Men's Tennis Sweeps Skidmore & Amherst

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team improved to 17-2 on the season as they defeated Skidmore 6-1 on the road before coming home to hand Amherst a 7-0 loss. The Panthers are ranked fourth in the latest national poll.

#4 Men's Tennis Tops #10 Trinity

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team won its only match of the week as the fourth-ranked Panthers picked up a 6-1 win at #10 Trinity on Saturday.

Men's Tennis Sweeps Two

Middlebury had little trouble over the weekend as they swept a pair of 7-0 matches over Union and Bowdoin in the Nelson Recreational Center.

Men's Tennis Handles Williams

Middlebury moved to 12-2 on the season as they handed Williams a 5-2 loss on their own courts on Wednesday. The win is the fifth straight for the Panthers over the Ephs, including a 4-3 win in the '04 NCAA Championship match.

Men's Tennis Splits Two Matches

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team fell 5-2 at Division I Dartmouth early in the week before bouncing back to pick up a 7-0 NESCAC win over Tufts.

Middlebury With Big Wins Over Spring Break

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team won six of seven matches played in California over the break, including three wins over teams ranked in the top 10. The second-ranked Panthers defeated Cal. Poly-Pomona 8-1, picked up a win over Chapman 7-0, before falling to Claremont-McKenna 4-3. Middlebury then came back to pick up big wins over #10 Pacific Lutheran 7-0, #6 Trinity of Texas 7-0 and defending NCAA champion and top ranked UC-Santa Cruz, 4-3.

Men's Tennis Opens Spring With Four Wins

The second-ranked Middlebury College men’s tennis team opened up its season with a round robin tournament on campus. The Panthers picked up four 7-0 wins over Brandeis, Rochester, Hamilton and Bates over the weekend.

10/16/05 - The Panther men’s tennis team was in action last week as they took part in a pair of friendly matches against Boston College and Boston University. B.C. won 10 of 12 matches played, while Middlebury took 11 of 12 contests from B.U.

Men's Tennis Dominates ITA Regional

10/2/05 - The Panther men’s tennis team placed six players in the quarterfinal round of the ITA New England Tennis Championships hosted by Williams College. Middlebury dominated both singles and doubles play, coming away with both championships.

Men's Tennis Impressive At Cornell Invit.

9/25/05 - The Middlebury College men’s tennis team continued to impress as they turned in some great performances at the Cornell Invitational. The Panthers were the only Division III school competing at the eight-team event.

Men's Tennis Opens Season With Invitational

9/18/05 - The Middlebury College men’s tennis team opened up its fall season by hosting the Middlebury Invitational Tournament. Middlebury players comprised five of the eight players in singles finals, while Trinity boasted the other three. In doubles play, six of the eight players in the finals of the two flights were Panthers, while Trinity comprised the other duo. Several of the finals were not completed, with teammates facing each other later this week to determine the flight champion.
