2/21/04 - The Middlebury College men's basketball team saw its season come to an end as the eighth-seeded Panthers fell 74-52 at top-seeded Williams. Middlebury hung tough until late in the game when the Ephs went on a run and came away with a comfortable lead. The Panthers shot just .281 from the floor as they end the season with a 12-12 mark. Bobby Marcoux paced the team with 10 points. (box)
2/14/04 - It was the luck of the draw today for Middlebury as they fell to Bates, but still received a bid to the NESCAC Tournament.
2/13/04 - The Panthers shot under 30 percent from the floor as they suffered a 78-66 loss at Tufts. Middlebury took 30 shots from behind the three-point arc, connecting on 11. Nate Anderson led the team with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Adam Sinoway also netted 13 points. (box)
2/10/04 - Middlebury held a 19-9 lead early but saw it evaporate as Skidmore picked up a 72-67 win over the Panthers. The Thoroughbreds came back to tie the game at the half, before holding a slim lead for the rest of the contest. Clark Read led the Panthers with 16 points on 7-7 shooting, Bobby Marcoux added 14, while Simon Behan scored a dozen. (box)
2/7/04 - Middlebury won its final game of the season in the Pepin Gym by handing Connecticut College a 92-64 loss. The Panthers used a 10-2 first half run and opened the second half on an 8-0 run en route to the win. Middlebury led by as many as 32 in the second half before coming away with the 28-point win. Clark Read led the team with 20 points on eight of ten shooting, while Mike Salek scored 15 and Adam Sinoway added 13. (box)
2/6/04 - Wesleyan went on a 10-1 run at the 6:47 mark of the second half to take a 71-69 lead on its way to an 83-81 win at Middlebury. The Panthers led 20-6 early in the first half, but the Cardinals slowly cut the lead, eventually holding a one-point halftime lead. Middlebury took a 63-56 lead in the second half, before the decisive Wesleyan run. John Donnelly led Middlebury with 22 points, while Bobby Marcoux added 18. (box)
1/31/04 - Middlebury's Nate Anderson became the 14th player in school history to surpass the 1,000 point mark (1,003), as Middlebury fell to Bowdoin 72-48. He is the first to do so since Greg Poulos accomplished the feat from '95-'98.
Bowdoin led by 10 at the half and then went on an 11-2 run at the 7:01 mark of the second half to take a big lead on its way to a 72-48 win over the Panthers. Middlebury shot .279 from the floor as they fell to 11-7 overall. Anderson led the Panthers with 13 points on the afternoon. (box)
1/30/04 - Nate Anderson poured in 23 points and grabbed 10 boards as the Panthers earned a 73-64 NESCAC road win at Colby. An 8-1 2nd half run gave Middlebury a 48-38 lead with 12:03 left in the half. The lead grew to as many as 14 and was cut to three at 3:03, but the Panthers sunk 10 of 12 free throws down the stretch to seal it. (box)
1/24/04 - Ninth-ranked Trinity went on a 12-0 second half run to pick up 68-63 win over Middlebury. The Panthers led by 10 in the second half, but the Bantams battled back to take a four-point lead with 6:57 left to play. Trinity made five of six free throws down the stretch to seal the win. Nate Anderson led Middlebury with 17 points, while John Donnelly added 13. (box)
1/23/04 - Middlebury hung with the #1 team in the country for a solid 30 minutes, but it wasn't enough as Amherst pulled away with a 91-67 win in Vermont. The Panthers cut the lead to three with 11:50 remaining in the second half, but that's as close as they would come. The Jeffs held Middlebury scoreless for a 3:50 span later in the half as they increased their lead to 17 on the way to the win. David Coratti led the Panthers with 14 points on six of seven shooting, while Clark Read added a dozen. (box)
1/20/04 - Middlebury suffered a heart-breaking loss at the Pepin Gym as Union came back to pick up a 79-78 win. The Dutchmen tooks their first lead of the second half on a three with 14 seconds left to put them up 79-78. Middlebury had three chances to win it in the final 10 seconds, but all three shots fell short. (box)
1/10/04 - Nate Anderson's runner in the lane with 10 seconds left gave Middlebury its first lead of the game as they defeated Plattsburgh, 76-75. Anderson scored a game-high 26 points on the afternoon, while grabbing 13 rebounds to help the Panthers avenge an earlier season loss. (box)
1/8/04 - Middlebury shot .576 from the floor in the first half as they defeated Colby-Sawyer, 83-63 at home. The lead grew to as many as 24 in the second half as the Panthers cruised to the win. Nate Anderson led the team with 21 points and 10 rebounds. (box)
