Late Shots Lifts Bowdoin Over Middlebury

2/11/05 - Middlebury saw its hopes of a NESCAC playoff bid come to an end as they fell to Bowdoin, 74-72. Clark Read tied the game at 72 for Middlebury with a baseline jumper with 10 seconds remaining in the game. Bowdoin quickly inbounded the ball and went coast to coast with a runner in the lane to win it with two seconds remaining.
Trailing by six at the half, Middlebury opened the second half on an 11-2 run to take a one-point lead. The team's exchanged second half leads with the Panthers holding a five-point edge with 5:23 left in the game.
Clark Read led the Panthers with 16 points on eight of 11 shooting, Mike Salek added 12, while Simon Behan netted 10. Adam Sinoway grabbed 10 boards in the loss.
