Men's Basketball Shoots Well, Tops Johnson

1/25/05 - Middlebury broke a four-game skid with an 81-60 win over Johnston State in the Pepin Gym. Every player in uniform scored for the Panthers as they shot a season-high .525 from the floor on their way to the win.

Middlebury went on a 12-2 first half run to take a 35-22 lead with 5:09 left in the first half. Johnson came back in the second half with a 10-3 run to cut Middlebury advantage to 52-43 with 14:30 left to play. The Panthers slowly increased the lead and continued their hot shooting as they went on to pick up the win.

Clark Read led the team with 16 points on seven of 14 shooting from the floor, while Simon Behan scored 11 points and dished out eight assists in the win.
