Late Shot Lifts Union Over Men's Hoops

1/18/05 - Middlebury suffered a heart-breaking road loss as they fell to Union, 65-64. The Dutchmen hit the game winning three-pointer with just .3 seconds left to cap a 14-point comeback in the game's final 13:40.

A see-saw first half saw six ties before a late run gave Middlebury a 31-25 lead at the break. The lead grew to as many as 14 in the second half, before Union slowly chipped away to set up the game-winner.

Bobby Marcoux ended the night with a team-high 19 points on eight of 13 shooting from the floor. Evan Thompson added 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Mike Salek scored 10 and grabbed eight boards.
