Men's Hoops Wins At Conn.

1/14/05 - The Panther men's basketball team opened up NESCAC play with a 57-54 win at Connecticut College. Middlebury led 28-25 at the half and built their largest lead of the second half, a 41-34 advantage with 9:59 to play.
The Camels came back and took a 47-46 lead with 4:02 remaining. With just 1:28 to go, Conn. snapped the 10th tie of the game and took a 54-51 lead. The Panthers did not go away and used a pair of free throws from Bobby Marcoux to pull within one at 54-53 with 54 seconds left. With 16 seconds remaining in regulation, Clark Read put the visitors ahead to stay with a field goal as the Panthers were able to hold on for the 57-54 victory.
Marcoux led a balanced Middlebury attack with 13 points, Read added 11, while Adam Sinoway netted 11.
