Harris Named District I Academic All-American

Middlebury College men's basketball player Andrew Harris (Waterbury Center, Vt.) has been named a District I Academic All-American by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association). The junior is a molecular biology/biochemistry major at Middlebury, currently owning a GPA of 3.88 through this fall. He will now be placed on a national ballot, with the team being named on February 28th.

Harris recently completed an impressive season for the Middlebury men, who finished fourth in the NESCAC standings this season with an overall record of 15-10. Harris led the team in scoring with 13.4 points/game, including a team-high 67 three-point field goals. The junior shot an impressive .456 from behind the arc, while shooting .419 from the floor this season. Harris scored a season-high 28 points in a win at Colby-Sawyer, while netting 27 at Plattsburgh on February 6th.
