Men's Hoops Moves To 4-0

The Middlebury men's basketball team moved to 4-0 on the season with an 88-60 win at Johnson State. The visiting Panthers used a 43-26 rebounding advantage and an impressive 55% shooting effort to cruise to the non-conference victory.
Middlebury raced to a 47-23 halftime lead behind a 7-13 three-point shooting effort keyed by Jake Wolfin's 3-4 effort. The Badgers (0-4) were held to just 26% shooting over the first 20 minutes by the stingy Panther defense.
Five Middlebury players found their way into double-figures led by Wolfin's 15 points. Andrew Locke, Ryan Sharry and Nolan Thompson each tallied 12 points, while Ryan Wholey netted 11.
Johnson was led by Leandro Martinez and his 15 points which included a 3-4 three-point shooting night. Ian Passino was the only other JSC player in double-figures with 10 points while adding four assists.
