Panthers Cruise Past Lyndon

The Middlebury men's basketball team earned its 12th win of the season overall with a 97-69 victory over Lyndon Sunday at Stannard Gymnasium. The seventh-ranked Panthers improve to 12-1 overall as they open NESCAC play this weekend when they host Bates and Tufts.

Jake Wolfin fired in 16 points off the bench to lead the Panthers, while Nolan Thompson and Luis Alvarez added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Ryan Sharry netted 10 points and a game-high eight rebounds for the winners, while Tim Edwards had a team-high five assists and three steals.

Jose Fortunato had 13 points and three assists to lead the Hornets, and Logan Calkins had 12 points in the loss. Fortunato and Jason Gray hauled in seven rebounds each for Lyndon.
