Locke Earns Academic Honors

Middlebury College men's basketball player Andrew Locke (Seattle, Wash.) has been named District I Academic second-team All-American by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association). Locke is currently the starting center on the 19-2 men's basketball team, which is ranked seventh nationally. The junior owns a 3.55 GPA, majoring in economics and neuroscience at Middlebury.

            Locke currently leads the NESCAC and is third in the nation with 3.38 blocked shots/game. He is the school's all-time leader in blocked shots with 221 through 76 games. Locke currently averages 8.4 points/game to go along with 5.4 rebounds/game this season. His .615 field goal percentage places him second among his NESCAC peers, while he is a key cog in the nation's best field goal percentage defensive team (.360).
