Thompson Is NESCAC Player Of The Week

Middlebury College men’s basketball player Nolan Thompson (Akron, Ohio) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Thompson led the undefeated and fifth-ranked Panthers to a pair of NESCAC victories during the opening weekend of league play, scoring 24.5 points per game on 19-27 shooting (.704). Thompson opened the weekend with a career-best 27 points, hitting 11-15 from the floor and 5-6 from long range, in Friday’s 79-63 decision over Tufts. On Saturday, Thompson had 22 points on 8-12 shooting (.667) as part of a 78-65 victory at Bates. For the weekend, Thompson made 7-of-9 three-pointers (.778) and averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals.
