Sharry Named NESCAC Player Of The Week

Middlebury College men’s basketball player Ryan Sharry (Braintree, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC player of the week for the second time this season. Sharry averaged 29.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks/game while shooting .778 from the field in a 3-0 week for undefeated (12-0) and top-ranked Middlebury. The senior scored a career-high 41 points on 19-23 shooting with nine boards, four blocks and four assists at RPI to start the week. Sharry netted 24 with 10 rebounds in a NESCAC win over Bates, while netting 22 with seven boards in another conference victory over Tufts.

Sharry is now 10th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,110 points, fourth in rebounds (705), third in blocks (156), while owning 26 career double-doubles. He and the Panthers return to action this weekend when they visit Connecticut College and Wesleyan.
