Kizel Earns NESCAC Player Of The Week Honors

Middlebury College men’s basketball player Joey Kizel (Short Hills, N.J.) has been named the NESCAC player of the week. Kizel averaged 20.3 points per game on 18-of-28 shooting (.643) during a 2-1 week for the Panthers. He made 8-12 three-point attempts and hit 17-18 shots at the foul line (.944). Kizel opened the week with a career-high 24 points, going 7-11 from the field and 4-4 from long range, in a 77-76 setback at Keene St. on Tuesday. He followed with a new career high on Friday, scoring 26 points on 8-13 shooting (.615) in a 79-76 victory over Bowdoin. Kizel closed the week with 11 points in Saturday’s 72-53 victory against Colby in limited minutes. He added in 10 rebounds and eight assists over the three outings.
