Thompson Earns NESCAC Player Of The Week Honors

Middlebury College men’s basketball player Nolan Thompson (Akron, Ohio) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Thompson averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in a perfect 2-0 week for Middlebury. Over the course of the week, he connected on 65.0% (13-20) of his shots from the floor, 62.5% (5-8) of his three-point attempts and all nine of his free throws. The guard led the Panthers to an 85-68 win over Connecticut College on Friday, piling up 22 points, seven boards and three assists while holding the league’s leading scorer (Matt Vadas) to just seven points. He also netted 18 points in his team’s thrilling 78-77 overtime victory over Wesleyan on Saturday.
