10/19/04 - The Middlebury men's golf team ended its fall season by taking part in the NEIGA Championships in Brewster, Mass. The Panthers finished 16th overall among 46 teams at the competition. Middlebury was fourth among Divsion III teams at the event.

10/11/04 - Junior Mitch St. Peter (<?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />San Francisco, Calif.) and sophomore Jay Yonamine (Eden Prarie, Minn.) of the Middlebury College men's golf team have been named to the All-NESCAC team.

10/10/04 - The <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College men's golf team finished fifth of 11 schools at the Hamilton-Shenendoah Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Hamilton College.

9/26/04 - NYU fired a two-day total of 619 to capture the 21st Annual Duke Nelson Golf Tournament hosted by Middlebury College on the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. Williams finished second overall with a 630, followed by Hamilton with a 631, Middlebury with a 636 and <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Salem State with a 637. Matt Baran of Salem State won medalist honors with a 152.

9/26/04 - For the fourth time in five years, the Williams men's golf team has captured the NESCAC Championship. The Ephs were in third place after day one, trailing first place <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Hamilton by 11 strokes and second place Middlebury by 10. Williams came back with a 310 on day two (630), earning a one stroke win over Hamilton (631) en route to its eighth NESCAC title. Nick Ryder of Williams captured individual honors with a two-day total of 154 on the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College.

9/24/04 - Middlebury College will host the 2004 NESCAC Golf Championship this weekend at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vermont. The two-day, 36-hole championship will begin Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. and conclude on Sunday with an opening tee time of 9:00 a.m. This year the NESCAC Golf Championship will be extracted from the results of the Duke Nelson Golf Tournament. The Ralph Myhre Golf Course is a par 71, 6,379-yard course laid out over rolling terrain in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

9/19/04 - The Middlebury men's golf team placed eighth among 24 teams at the Williams Invitational last weekend. Derek Singer led the way with a 78, followed by Charles Bellmare and Jay Yonamine with a pair of 81's. 9/15/04 - <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Plattsburgh shot a 315 on its way to a first place finish in the four-team Craig Wood College Invitational Tournament hosted by Middlebury in Lake Placid. Ryan Brainard of Plattsburgh was the medalist with a 72 on the afternoon, while Middlebury's Chad Bellmare was second with a 74.

9/12/04 - The Panther men's golf team placed fourth of nine teams as they opened their season at the Bowdoin Invitational. Sophomore Charles Bellmare (<?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Bedford, N.Y.) led the team, finishing in a third place tie with a two-day total of 158. Senior Derek Singer (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was next with a 162, followed by sophomore James Yonamine (Eden Prairie, Minn.) with a 163, junior Mitch St. Peter (San Francisco, Calif.) with a 166 and senior Adam Sureau (Stow, Mass.) with a 183.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
