Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At NESCAC Championship

10/2/05 - The Panther men's golf team took part in the NESCAC Golf Championship hosted by Williams over the weekend. The Ephs won the meet with a 611, followed by Hamilton, Trinity and Middlebury (622).<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Leading Middlebury over the weekend, was sophomore Harry Bane (<?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Marblehead, Mass.), who finished with a two-day total of 149, two strokes behind the medalist. Next for the Panthers in 16th place were junior Charles Bellmare (Bedford, N.Y.) and sophomore George Baumann (Mequon, Wis.), both shooting 157's. Senior Derek Singer (Niskayuna, N.Y.) finished in 26th place with a 160, while senior Mitch St. Peter (San Francisco, Calif.) came in with a 164, good for 41st place.
