Men's Golf Finishes In Second Place Tie At NESCAC's

The Middlebury College men's golf team finished in a second place tie at the 2008 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship hosted by Trinity. Williams won the event with a 590, followed by Middlebury (603), Hamilton (603) and Trinity (619). Just four teams competed in the event after earning their way into the tournament.

Senior George Baumann (Mequon, Wis.) captured individual honors, firing a 69 on day one, followed by a 75 for a two-day total of 144. First-year player Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.) was next for the Panthers with a 152, followed closely by classmate Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) with a 153. Junior Harrison Bane (Marblehead, Mass.) came in with a 154, while junior Michael McCormick (Oak Park, Ill.) rounded out Middlebury's golfers with a 160.
