Men's Golf Wins Inaugural Colonial Cup

The Middlebury College men's golf team hosted the inaugural Colonial Cup competition against Williams. The two-day Ryder Cup style event featured nine holes of alternate shot play on day one, followed by nine holes of two-man best-ball play. Day two was head to head competition as 10 golfers competed for each school, vying for 20 overall points. The Panthers won the event, coming away with a 13-7 victory at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Senior George Baumann (Mequon, Wis.) earned 3/3 possible points on the weekend to lead the team. Coming in with 2.5 points for Middlebury were junior Michael McCormick (Oak Park, Ill.), Harrison Bane (Marblehead, Mass.) and rookies Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) and Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.).
