Bane & Cady Earn All-NESCAC Honors

October 3, 2007

Middlebury College men's golfers Harrison Bane (Marblehead, Mass.) and Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.) have earned All-NESCAC honors this fall. The team is selected based upon individual finishes at the 2007 NESCAC Qualifier round, recently hosted by Hamilton College.

Bane was the only other holdover from last year's All-NESCAC first-team on this year's squad. He finished tied for fourth with a two-day total of 150, as he improved his day one score of 77 by shooting a one-over 73 on Sunday afternoon, helping the defending champion Panthers advance to April's championship round. Bane's performance gave him first-team honors for the third consecutive year, as the 2005 NESCAC Rookie of the Year finished second during the two previous autumn events.

Cady has been steady all fall long for the Panthers, carding an impressive 154 at the tourney, placing him in a 12th place tie. The rookie shot a 79 on day one, and improved that by four strokes with a 75 on the second day of play.
