Men's Golf Prepares For NCAA's

The Middlebury College men's golf team will makes its second NCAA Tournament appearance in the past three seasons. The Panthers earned the automatic bid by capturing the '09 NESCAC Championship on their own course. Middlebury is one of 36 teams competing in the event from May 13-16 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The event is hosted by Methodist University and will be played on the Wanamaker Course at the PGA Golf Club. In its first NCAA appearance in '07, Middlebury finished the NCAA Championship with a two-day total of 680, good for 32nd place. The Panthers opened with a 347 and then shaved 11 strokes off their score on the second day for a 336. Cuts were made after day two, with Middlebury falling below the line and ending their season.
