Levins & Cady Named All-Region

Middlebury College men’s golfers Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) and Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.) have both been named to the Ping All-Region Team as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The duo helped lead the Panthers to their fourth NESCAC Championship, as well as the team’s third trip to the NCAA Tournament this spring.

Levins entered NCAA play with a 75.9 average this season. His low round came on day one at the NCAA’s, where he was tied for fifth among 205 golfers with a two-under-par 70. He also won the Williams Spring Opener with a 71, while firing a 72 during NESCAC match play this fall. The senior is a three-time All-NESCAC selection at Middlebury.

Cady, the NESCAC Player of the Year, finished the season with a 76.7 average entering NCAA play. He shot a 142 to win the fall NESCAC qualifier, including a 68 on day two of the event. The three-time All-NESCAC selection shot a 72 and 73 respectively during the second rounds of the Duke Nelson Tournament and Williams Invitational this fall. He finished the NCAA’s with a 77 and 75 for a 152.
