Men's Golf Wins Duke Nelson Tourney

Middlebury captured the 30th annual Duke Nelson Tournament for the first time in school history. The Panthers won the event with a two-day total of 596. After trailing Hamilton by a stroke after a red-hot 292 on day one, scores were much higher on the second day of competition due to wind. The Panthers came in with a 304 on day two, earning the win by a stroke over Clarkson, who shot a two-day total of 597. Williams (599), Salem State (602) and Hamilton (603) rounded out the top five. Middlebury’s Rob Donahoe captured medalist honors with a 139, including a 68 on day one. Action took place at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College. 

Max Alley and John Louie were next for the Panthers, both firing two-day totals  of 151, good for a tie for 21st place. Chris Atwood came in tied for 39th with a 155, followed by Eric Laorr’s 158.
