
The Middlebury College men's hockey team will offer two camps late this summer in Kenyon Arena. The "Panther Camp" will run from August 15-17 and is for the College-bound and varsity player. The "Youth Camp" is for boys and girls and will go from August 13-17 with sessions for Mites/Squirts and Pee-Wees/Bantams.
Middlebury’s hope for a ninth NESCAC title came to an end as Amherst won its second title. The Jeffs overcame a 2-0 deficit by scoring four consecutive goals and getting clutch saves from Jonathan La Rose en route to a 4-3 win in at Orr Rink.
The third-seeded Middlebury men’s hockey team erupted for four goals in the second period en route to a 6-3 victory over second-seeded Bowdoin College in the NESCAC Championship semifinals at Orr Rink. Rebounding from a slow 7-8-3 start, Middlebury has gone 7-1-0 over its last eight to advance to its 12th NESCAC final. Bowdoin, which entered the game on a five-game win streak, dropped to 16-6-3 on the year with the loss.
Middlebury College men’s hockey player Charlie Strauss (Eagle River, Wis.) has earned All-NESCAC honors for the second straight season. The senior earned a spot on the second-team, leading his team into the NESCAC Championship weekend at Amherst.
The Middlebury men's hockey team will visit Amherst for 2012 NESCAC Championship. The Panthers will take on Bowdoin, Saturday, March 3rd at 1:00 p.m., followed by Amherst vs. Williams at 4:00 p.m. The winners meet in the title game on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
