The Middlebury men’s hockey team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-1 in the championship game of the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout at Plattsburgh. The third-ranked Cardinals remain unbeaten at 8-0-1, while the 15th-ranked Panthers fell to 3-1-2.
The Middlebury men’s hockey team earned a 1-1 tie against Norwich in the first round of the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout hosted by Plattsburgh. The Panthers advanced 2-0 in a shootout and will face the host school at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday in the championship game.
Jake Charles scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime to lift Middlebury (3-0-1, 3-0-1) to a 5-4 overtime win at Connecticut College (0-4, 0-4) on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers pick up four road points on the weekend after a win over Tufts on Friday, and will return to action after Thanksgiving at the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout hosted by Plattsburgh.

Middlebury outshot Colby 41-13 on its way to a 7-1 win over the Mules (0-1-1, 0-1-1) in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers improve to 1-0-1 on the season and will return to action next weekend at Tufts and Connecticut College. Twelve different players registered a goal or an assist for Middlebury.
