Cooper is the 11th person from Middlebury College to appear in the section since 1996.

3/20/04 - NORTHFIELD, VT - The Panther men's hockey team capped an amazing season by winning its sixth NCAA Championship. Middlebury has won more championships and more NCAA Tournament games than any other team in Division III Men's Hockey Championship history. Along with the honor, he was also selected as a first-team All-American. He is the fourth Panther to win the award, following Mark Spence '98, Ian Smith '96 and Ray Alcindor '93.

Middlebury advanced to the semifinals after a convincing 9-1 win over Wentworth in the quarterfinals at the Kenyon Arena. The Panthers qualified for the NCAA tourney with a 6-2 win over Trinity in the NESCAC title game.
3/13/04 - Middlebury improved to 23-5-2 in NCAA Tournament play as they topped Wentworth 9-1 in an NCAA Quarterfinal game. 3/8/04 - The Middlebury College men's ice hockey team will make its 10th straight NCAA Tournament appearance this weekend when they host Wentworth in an NCAA Quarterfinal. The game will take place on Saturday, March 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Kenyon Arena.
3/8/04 - Middlebury College men's hockey player John Dawson (New Canaan, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week.

Dawson scored two goals in Middlebury's NESCAC Championship win over Trinity. The NESCAC title was the fourth for Middlebury in the five years the tournament has existed. The senior captain has 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points on the season, as he leads the team to its 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this weekend.
3/7/04 - Middlebury scored five goals in a 9:24 span on its way to the team's fourth NESCAC Championship in the five years of the tournament. 3/2/04 - For the second consecutive year, Middlebury College men's hockey player Kevin Cooper (Mississauga, Ont.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Year. Cooper, along with teammate Mike Velez (S. Windsor, Conn.) were also both named to the All-NESCAC first-team.
2/28/04 - Second-ranked Middlebury scored five second period goals on its way to a 7-1 win over Tufts in a NESCAC quarterfinal match-up. The Panthers will host Hamilton in the semifinals next Saturday (3/6) at 1:00 p.m., while Trinity meets Colby in the other semifinal at 4:00 p.m. The title game is slated for Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (box)
2/23/04 - Middlebury College men's hockey player Kevin Cooper (Mississauga, Ont.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week in hockey.
Cooper scored a hat-trick, including a goal six seconds into the game, as #3 Middlebury defeated #1 Norwich 6-2 in front of a sold out crowd of 2,600 at the Kenyon Arena. Cooper also assisted on a goal in the game, while netting his third 7:25 into the third period to seal the win. The senior now leads the team and the NESCAC with 42 points on the season.

2/21/04 - Before a sellout crowd of 2,600 at the Kenyon Arena in Middlebury, the #3 Panthers defeated in-state rival and top-ranked Norwich, 6-2, in the first meeting of the year between the two schools. 2/14/04 - Middlebury saw its 10-game winning streak come to an end as they fell 2-1 at Trinity. Despite the loss, the Panthers clinched the top seed in the NESCAC Tournament with a late-night (Friday) loss by Bowdoin to Salem State in overtime. 2/4/04 - The Middlebury College men's hockey team will offer a "Skate With The Panthers" following this Saturday's (February 7th) game (4:00 p.m.) against Hamilton. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates and take part in the event with members of the Middlebury College men's hockey team. The skate is expected to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. Players with be available to chat and sign autographs during the event, which is expected to last until 7:30 p.m. Also, all-youth hockey players wearing their jersey to the game, will be admitted for free.
