Raeder Earns Player of the Week Honors

Middlebury College men's hockey player Doug Raeder (Needham, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. The rookie netminder saved 47 of 49 shots through two games over the weekend, leading the Panthers to a pair of wins in the Middlebury College Holiday Classic. Raeder was named Tournament MVP after making 27 saves against Babson in a 6-1 victory on Saturday and stopping 20 attempts in a 4-1 decision over Amherst on Sunday. Through six games this season, Raeder is 5-0-1 with a 1.64 goals against average and a .929 save percentage.
