Gilchrist & Maldonado Earn NESCAC Honors

Juniors Mickey Gilchrist (Ottawa, Ont.) and Tom Maldonado (Bronx, N.Y.) were both named to the All-NESCAC's second-team when the conference announced its post-season honors today.


Gilchrist makes his second straight appearance on the All-Conference squad after earning first-team honors a year ago. He leads the Panthers in scoring this season with a team-high 15 goals and 29 points to go along with his 14 assists. The junior leads the team with seven power play and four game-winners this season. Gilchrist now has 107 points in 83 career games.


Maldonado earns his first career post-season honors after a great season anchoring the Panther blue line. He helped lead the Panthers to a league-best 2.32 GAA along with a top-ranked penalty kill at .864. Maldonado leads the team and ranks fourth in the league with .92 assists/game (23 total). He now has 75 points in 85 career games.
