The Panthers exploded for a dozen second quarter goals after leading 6-0 after one quarter. Charley Howe led the attack with four goals, while Nick Bastis and Mike Saraceni had two goals and two assists apiece. In all, 18 players had a goal or an assist for Middlebury.
Four netminders combined in goal for Middlebury, while Ty Hong made 13 saves for N.E.C.
