April 1, 2005

4/2/05 - With the score 2-1 in Middlebury's favor 10 minutes into the game, the Panthers scored eight consecutive goals over the next 20 minutes to assume a 10-1 halftime lead en route to a 15-7 NESCAC win. Three of the eight goals came during a man-advantage situation and four were on fast breaks. First-year player Jim Cabrera (Greenwich, Conn.) netted his fourth goal of the game just 12 seconds into the third period on a Wesleyan turnover, making it an 11-1 game. Wesleyan did close out the period with a 4-1 run to get as close at 12-5 but Middlebury added three goals in the opening seven minutes of the final period to lock up the win.

Cabrera led the Panthers with four goals on the afternoon, while juniors Jonathan Sisto (Duxbury, Mass.) and Aaron Herter (Carlisle, Mass.), along with sophomore Nick Bastis (Old Greenwich, Conn.) added two goals apiece. Sophomore Alex Palmisano (Southport, Conn.) made five saves in goal to earn the win.
