"Keeper of the Kohn" To Premier In Baltimore

March 31, 2005

3/29/05 - Peter Kohn is one of the most well-known and loved individuals to ever grace the lacrosse community. Anyone who has ever met and known Peter has been positively impacted by his life. The last couple of years of Peter's life have been full of excitement, challenge and change. After the 2003 lacrosse season, Peter retired from his position as equipment manager at Middlebury College. In November 2004, Peter was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Now a remarkable documentary film called "The Keeper of the Kohn," produced and directed by David Gaynes, paints a picture of Peter's life that you will not want to miss.

On April 28, US Lacrosse, Middlebury Alumni Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a premier of the documentary at Baltimore's historic Senator Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the film begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available on line at www.uslacrosse.org. Discounts are available for purchases of 20 tickets or more, by contacting Susan Koches at skoches@uslacrosse.org or by calling 410.235.6882 x124.

Keeper of the Kohn: An emotional documentary chronicling the journey of one man's torn devotion between the love for his student athletes and their chance at a national championship and the tragic illness of a cancer-stricken friend, all in the midst of a bittersweet retirement. Join Peter Kohn as he battles for self-discovery on and off the field in this poignant look into the world of a true survivor.

Don't miss this great night with Lacrosse Hall of Fame member Peter Kohn as we celebrate his life, his accomplishments, and the release of this amazing film. Proceeds will be used to benefit the US Lacrosse Youth Equipment Grant Program in Peter's honor.
