Broome Earns NESCAC Player Of The Week Honors

Middlebury College men’s lacrosse player Jon Broome (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Broome set a new NESCAC Tournament record with eight goals in his team's 19-9 quarterfinal win over Amherst. Six of his goals came in the second half, with three in each of the final two quarters. Broome now leads the NESCAC with 44 goals and 54 points in his rookie season. Earlier in the week, he scored a goal while earning two assists in a 15-14 win at Williams.

He and his teammates will host the 2013 NESCAC Championship this weekend on Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium. Middlebury will take on Wesleyan at noon on Saturday with the Tufts/Conn. College game to follow at 3:00 p.m. The championship game will take place at noon on Sunday.
