Men's Soccer Ends Season

11/5/05 - The Middlebury College men's soccer team saw its season come to an end as they fell 1-0 to Amherst in the NESCAC semifinals at Williams. The Panthers end their season with a 10-4-1 mark.

The game's lone goal game at 12:49 as Middlebury was attempting to mark-up during a corner kick. Before the defense was set, Joe Gannon took the corner that was headed directly into the goal by Ben Lavely from eight yards out.

The game was hard fought-throughout, with Middlebury holding a 13-8 advantage in shots and a 7-3 margin in corner kicks.

Zack Toth ended the game with two saves in goal.
