Men's Soccer Falls To Williams

10/15/05 - Middlebury suffered just its second loss of the season Saturday as they fell to Williams, 1-0.  Going into the game, neither of the teams had lost a conference game, with Middlebury ranked first in New England and sixth nationally, while Williams ranked second in <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />New England and 13th nationally.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The only goal of the game was scored at 13:23 in the first half when Ryan Pelletier carried the ball down the left side and centered it from 15 yards out. Dana Leary quickly redirected the pass into the net for the game's only goal.

Both teams had some chances to score in the game, but neither were able to find the back of the net. The Ephs held a 12-10 shots advantage on the day, while Middlebury held a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

Zack Toth made nine saves in goal for Middlebury, while Nick Armington notched six saves for Williams.
