Brodie MacDearmid gave Middlebury a 1-0 lead just 4:33 in as he picked off a pass and walked in alone on the left side before snapping a shot into the net. He scored his second goal of the game at 60:23 with a header just over the goalkeeper. The goal was set-up by a wind-aided 80-yard punt by Middlebury goalkeeper Zack Toth, that bounced high into the air where MacDearmid headed it into the net. Simon Perkins scored the final goal of the game with 7:38 remaining as he blasted a shot into the net after a great crossing pass on the left wing by Winston Rains.
Toth ended the game with one save for his third shutout of the season, while Joe Albiston and Bill Closs combined to make a pair of saves for the Chargers.
