Men's Soccer Tops Castleton

Middlebury controlled play for much of the game, scoring early and settling in for a 5-0 win. For the game Middlebury out-shot the Spartans 23-7, and the Panthers held a 14-3 edge in corner kicks.

Baer Fisher led the Panther offense with a pair of goals and one assist. Casey Ftorek scored his fourth goal of the season and also added an assist. Vandy Shanholt scored his first goal of the season, while Stephen Hart recorded his first career goal in the second half.

Zack Toth had four saves and combined with Brian Bush for the Panthers' second consecutive shutout. Middlebury is back in action on Saturday, September 16 when they play host to NESCAC foe, Tufts University at 1:00 PM.
