Bush Appears In Sports Illustrated

January 10, 2008

Middlebury College men's soccer player Brian Bush (Madison Wis.) will appear in the "Faces In The Crowd" section of Sports Illustrated in the upcoming January 14th issue that hits newsstands Thursday, the 10th. Bush is the 15th person to represent Middlebury College Athletics in the magazine since 1996.

Bush earned first-team All-American honors in goal this season, leading Middlebury to its first NCAA men's soccer championship. His numbers were amazing, as the Panther keeper ended the year with a .32 goals against average, third in the nation. He also broke the school's single-season shutout record with 13 in 19 starts, missing four games with an injury. Bush owned a 15-1-2 record with 87 saves in '07, ending the year with a 623 minute scoreless streak. The first-team All-NESCAC selection was amazing during shoot-outs in the post-season, helping the Panthers to advance on three different occasions.
