Knisley & Glaser Earn Regional Honors

December 12, 2013

Two members of the Middlebury College men’s soccer team earned All-Region honors when the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced its all-region teams. Senior defender Graham Knisley (Wakefield, R.I.) and first-year player Adam Glaser (Washington, D.C.) both earned second-team honors. The duo helped lead the Panthers to a 9-5-1 mark this season, with a trip to the NESCAC Tournament.

Glaser had an impressive rookie season, making an immediate impact as the NESCAC Rookie of the Year and first-team all-conference selection. He tied for the league-lead with nine goals and was second with 22 points to go along with his four assists. Glaser earned a hat-trick in a September 28th win over Colby, scoring twice in an October 12th victory over Trinity. He found the back of the net in six of the final eight games this season, finishing the year with a pair of game-winners.

Knisley was a team captain who anchored the Panther defense this season, earning second-team All-NESCAC honors. His team allowed just 0.85 goals/game in ‘13, .14 better than a year ago. Knisley started all 15 games he played in this season for the Panthers. He finishes his career with 58 games played, scoring three goals with an assist for seven points.
