
Two members of the Middlebury College men’s squash team were honored when the NESCAC announced its All-Conference team. Senior Jay Dolan (Wareham, Mass.) earned a spot on the first team, while junior Parker Hurst earned second-team honors. The duo helped lead the team to a 15-8 mark this season, capturing the Summers Cup and finishing 17th nationally.
The Middlebury men’s squash team captured the Summers Cup at the recent team nationals competition at Yale. The Panthers finish the season as the 17th ranked team nationally among 66 squads. Middlebury earned a final record of 15-8, placing fourth in the NESCAC Tournament.
The Middlebury men's squash team has earned the top seed in the Summers Cup (C Division) for the upcoming Team Nationals hosted by Yale. The Panthers, ranked 17th overall, will take on 24th-ranked Connecticut College in a in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 22nd at 12:00 p.m. Middlebury enters the weekend with a 12-8 overall record this season.
Due to the impending storm expected to blanket the northeast, several schedule changes have occurred for Middlebury College Athletic events. The men’s and women’s NESCAC basketball games scheduled for Friday, February 8th vs. Trinity have been moved to Sunday, February 10th. The men will play at 5:00 and the women will follow at 7:00. Saturday’s games vs. Amherst have now also been postponed. The men’s game will be made up on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 p.m., while the women will play on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00 p.m.
The Middlebury men’s squash team fell to 12-8 on the season with a 9-0 loss at ninth-ranked St. Lawrence on Tuesday. The Panthers, now ranked 16th nationally, will return to action at the national team tournament from February 22nd-24th at Yale.
