The Panther men’s squash team earned a third place overall finish at the 2012 NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity. The Panthers were seeded third in the tourney, opening with an 8-1 victory over Amherst. Middlebury was then defeated 7-2 by second-seeded Williams, topping Bates 6-3 to earn the third place finish.

Middlebury will look for a NESCAC title this weekend when they travel to Trinity for the 2012 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship. The three-day tournament kicks off Friday evening with first round action at Trinity's George A. Kellner Squash Center and continues through the weekend with championship bracket matches taking place at Trinity and select consolation matches at Wesleyan's Rosenbaum Squash Center.

The Middlebury men’s squash team picked up three convincing wins over the weekend, all of them on the road. The 13th-ranked Panthers opened with a 9-0 win over Fordham, before handing #15 Columbia a 8-1 loss. The following day, Middlebury earned an 8-1 win over NESCAC foe Connecticut College, a team ranked 21st.

1/22/12

The Middlebury men’s squash teams entertained a pair of teams on Saturday, defeating both UVM and #31 Northeastern, 9-0. Action resumed on Sunday as the 13th ranked Panthers travelled down Route 7 to battle #10 Williams. The Ephs took the match 8-1 with Addi DiSesa picking up an 11-9, 11-1, 11-9 win at #7.

The Panther men’s squash team earned its fifth straight victory, topping #22 Amherst 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Fourteenth-ranked Middlebury fell at #5 and #8, winning in three sets in five of the other seven matches.
