I was struck with spontaneous sensations of awe and satisfaction. I was impressed both by the quality of the facilities and the ample opportunities for truly outstanding recreation in the surrounding area. What other school has a bucolic twenty-foot waterfall running right through the center of town?
What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?
I have found my classmates, teammates, teachers and coaches to be intelligent, enthusiastic and diligent. Not only have they made my experience at Middlebury enjoyable, but also they have provided an outstanding environment in which to appreciate success and learn from failure.
What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?
Reflecting back upon the embryonic state of the team when I arrived as a freshman Feb, it really is remarkable the distance the program has come. Since then, we have become an increasingly competitive team both in the NESCAC and national leagues. I am excited about the challenging schedule ahead and the level of play that the team has collectively achieved. I have found it especially rewarding to have been a member of the team from its humble beginnings to the imposing stature it has achieved today.
What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?
Perhaps more than anything else squash has consistently taught me the importance of persistence and mental toughness. It defines success and consistency.]]>
