All-NESCAC Honors For Men's Squash

Three members of the Middlebury College men’s squash team have earned All-NESCAC honors. Senior Valentin Quan (La Libertad, El Salvador) and junior Jay Dolan (Wareham, Mass.) were both named to the first team, while sophomore Parker Hurst (Greenwich, Conn.) earned second team honors. The group helped lead the team to a 16-9 record with an overall national ranking of 14th.

Quan caps an impressive career for the Panthers, playing at #1 all season long with a 12-11 record. He recently competed at individual nationals at Amherst, taking on some of the nation’s top players. Quan enjoyed a three match and a four match winning streak during the season. He ends his career with a 58-34 record, earning All-NESCAC honors during each of his four seasons.

Dolan was the Panthers’ #2 this season, finishing the season with a 16-8 mark. He also competed at nationals as an individual and now owns a 46-28 career record. Dolan is also an All-NESCAC selection for the third straight season.

 

 

Hurst had a solid second season, boasting a 17-6 overall record. He enjoyed a nine-match winning streak this season, while also going a perfect 6-0 at NESCAC’s and Team Nationals this season. He now owns a 30-15 career mark in his first two seasons.
