Two players from the Middlebury College men’s squash team have been named to the 2014 NESCAC All-Conference teams. Senior Parker Hurst (Greenwich, Conn.) picked up first-team laurels, while sophomore Andrew Jung (Mercer Island, Wash.) was selected to the second team. Middlebury concluded the season with a team record of 11-8, finished fourth at the NESCAC Championship and ended the campaign ranked 17th nationally.

The Middlebury men’s squash team captured the Summers Cup for the fourth time in seven years after earning three wins at Team Nationals hosted by Harvard. The Panthers finish the season ranked 17th-nationally among 77 teams with an overall record of 11-8.

The Middlebury men's squash team has earned the top seed in the Summers Cup (C Division) for the upcoming Team Nationals hosted by Harvard. The Panthers, ranked 17th overall, will take on 24th-ranked Hamilton in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. Middlebury enters the weekend with a 8-8 overall record this season.

The Middlebury men’s squash team sent four players to the inaugural Division III Singles Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College. Harrison Croll turned in the top performance of the weekend, as he was one of 16 players in the “B” flight.

Four members of the Middlebury men's squash team will represent the Panthers at the 2014 College Squash Association (CSA) Division III Individual Invitational Tournament this weekend. Andrew Jung, Andrew Cadienhead, Will Moore and Wyatt French will all compete at this weekend's event.

February 2, 2014

The Panther men's squash team ended the weekend in fourth place overall at the NESCAC Tournament hosted by Hamilton. Middlebury fell by a score of 6-3 on Sunday to Bates, moving to 8-8 on the season. The Panthers return to action at the singles nationals taking place from February 6-9.

February 1, 2014

The Middlebury men’s squash team advanced to the NESCAC semifinals before falling by a score of 9-0 to top-seeded Trinity. The Panthers earned a first-round bye before edging Wesleyan 5-4 in the quarterfinals. The team returns to action on Sunday at Hamilton in the back draw.

January 29, 2014

Fifth-seeded Middlebury looks to hoist the conference trophy this weekend when the three-day 2014 NESCAC Men’s Squash Championship commences on Friday. For the first time in the history of the event, an institution other than Trinity will be hosting the championship as Hamilton’s Little Squash Center will serve as the host for this year’s championship bracket matches, while select consolation matches will take place at Colgate’s Huntington Gymnasium.

The Panther men’s squash team won two of three matches at the Yale Round Robin over the weekend. Middlebury opened with a 6-3 loss to #14 Navy, before the 18th-ranked Panthers bounced back with a 6-3 win over #20 Brown. The weekend concluded with a 6-3 victory over George Washington.

The Panther men’s squash team dropped a pair of road matches over the weekend, falling at Williams and Drexel. Middlebury, ranked 19th nationally, fell 6-3 to #18 Williams on Saturday and were edged by a score of 5-4 by 15th-ranked Drexel on Sunday. Robert Galluccio was the lone Panther to pick up two victories on the weekend.

The Middlebury men’s squash team improved to 5-3 on the year with an 8-1 win over #22 Amherst in its final home match of the season. The 19th-ranked Panthers return to action on Saturday and Sunday at Williams and Drexel.

The Middlebury men’s squash team hosted three matches at home over the weekend, earning a 2-1 mark. The 18th-ranked Panthers cruised to a 9-0 win over #26 Colby, before having little trouble with #21 Bowdoin in an 8-1 win. The competition stiffened on Sunday, as Middlebury fell 9-0 to fourth-ranked St. Lawrence.

The Middlebury men’s squash team cruised to a 9-0 road win at Hamilton on Saturday. The 17th-ranked Panthers won six of the nine matches in three games, with the 24th-ranked Continentals extending a pair of matches to four game and one to five. Middlebury swept matches 1-4 in three sets.

The Middlebury men’s squash team played a pair of matches at Williamson Saturday. The 17th-ranked Panthers opened the day with a 9-0 win over Stanford. In the top slot, Middlebury’s Parker Hurst won his first match of the season 11-5, 11-3, 11-5 over Stanford's Parker Odrich.

The Middlebury men’s squash team opened up its season with a 9-0 loss to fifth-ranked Rochester. The match was the first placed by the 17th-ranked Panther men in the school’s new squash facility. Middlebury returns to action on Saturday with a couple of matches against Western Ontario and Stanford at Williams.

The squash center officially opened on Saturday, October 26th on homecoming weekend. At the opening reception, President Liebowitz said the spectacular, nine-court facility – and the new Field House under construction – are the first buildings in the history of the College to be fully funded by donors.

Middlebury's new squash facility is coming along nicely as the summer comes to an end. The building is expected to open in mid-October, with nine new squash courts as well as an impressive full glass front lobby. Check out the photo gallery below for some recent photos.
