Individuals Compete At NCAA's

5/22/05 - Three members of the men's tennis team competed in the individual competitions at the NCAA Championships at UC-Santa Cruz. In singles action, Brian Waldron won his first match 6-2, 2-6, 6-4, while advancing to the quarterfinals with a 6-1, 6-3 win. After winning the first set 4-6, Waldron dropped the next two sets 6-4, 6-4 and was elminated from the singles brackets. Middlebury's other singles qualifier, Ari Beilin, fell 6-2, 6-4 in the first round. In doubles play, Beilin and Alex Scott lost 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the first round of competition.
