Men's Tennis To Host NCAA Regional

The Middlebury College men's tennis team will make its 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament when they host a regional on campus from May 13-15. Friday's matches will feature M.I.T. (13-4) vs. Hunter (11-4) at 10:00 a.m. and Stevens (11-5) vs. Drew (12-6) at 2:00 p.m. Middlebury (16-3) will take on the winner of the Stevens/Drew match on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., while Bowdoin (12-6) will face the M.I.T./Hunter victor on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. The regional final will take place on Sunday at TBA.

Middlebury is on the verge of its eighth straight 17+ win season, boasting a 16-3 mark entering the weekend. The Panthers won the ’04 NCAA title, earning its second national crown a year ago with a 5-1 win over Amherst in the title match. Middlebury has advanced to the final four in seven of the past eight seasons, earning its first NCAA Tournament bid in ’01-’02. The Panthers boasting a 27-9 record in NCAA Tournament play were ranked first in the latest (4/14) ITA National poll.

Hunter/M.I.T. winner vs. Bowdoin (12-6) – 10:00 a.m.
Stevens/Drew winner vs. Middlebury (18-2) – 2:00 p.m.

Regional Final - Sunday, May 15
