Champions have been crowned at the 2013 USTA/ITA Men’s Tennis Regional Championship hosted by Middlebury College. The winners advance to the Small College Championships at the Three Oaks Tennis Center in Fort Myers, Florida from October 10-13, 2013.

Bowdoin’s Luke Trinka, who entered the tournament unseeded, emerged as the singles champion with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 win over Conrad Harron of Williams in the finals. Trinka had eliminated Nikola Telkedzhiev of Tufts 7-5, 7-6 (4) in the semifinals, while Harron knocked out Middlebury’s Palmer Campbell, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2.

In doubles play, Ben Fife & Joey Fritz (also unseeded) of Amherst edged Campbell & Brantner Jones of Middlebury in a marathon, 6-7 (6), 6-2, 10-7. Campbell & Jones topped Aaron Revzin and Michael Solimano of Amherst 8-5 in the semifinals, while Fife& Fritz defeated Jose Raventos and Rohan Shastri of Williams, 8-5.
