Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

The campus at Middlebury compliments the natural beauty of Vermont and it offers a friendly/community oriented campus. The facilities are ideal. We have so much available to us here at Middlebury. The Ski Team is fortunate to have the Middlebury College Snow Bowl close to campus.

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

Middlebury is a special place to explore all the things you never thought you would get to pursue or study, which can be enriching and life changing.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

My best memory as an athlete at Middlebury is still the 2005 Division I NCAA’s in Stowe, Vermont when I came through the finish line to win the SL race and to see that most of my ski teammates had traveled over to watch the race and were waiting at the bottom cheering. We all ended up in one big hug jumping, smiling, laughing and so excited, and it was then that I was reminded of how great it is to be a part of a supportive and enthusiastic team.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Ski racing has been a part of my life since I was a little girl, but what I’ve realized at college is that ski racing does not define my life or who I am. It is my passion and something I love to do and that will stay a part of my life forever, but I have learned that it is the people who you choose to be surrounded by and who you are influenced by in your everyday life that help to define you, and to me that is an element of a team that I can take with me wherever I go in the future.
