Ski Team Boasts Two All-Americans On Final Day At NCAA's - Alpine Squad Takes Home Title

The Middlebury ski team was the top Division III school, placing ninth overall at the 2012 NCAA Skiing Championships hosted by Montana State University. The Panthers enjoyed a huge final day by the men’s alpine team, as the Panthers placed three in the top 12 to win the slalom, with a pair of All-Americans. The University of Vermont took home the NCAA title with 832 points, followed by Utah (671) and Colorado (670) with Middlebury in ninth (359).


Both Hig Roberts and Andrew McNealus earned All-American honors for the alpine men on the final day of racing. Roberts finished the event with a time of 1:50.82, good for fifth place. Just 6/100ths of a second behind was McNealus, who earned a sixth place finish in 1:50.88. Earning a solid 12th place finish among 35 racers was Bryan Shpall with a time of 1:52.04.

Christine Schozer represented the Panther women, placing 34th overall in 2:44.56
