Nordic Events Cap The UVM Carnival

The University of Vermont Carnival is complete, with Middlebury taking home a third place overall finish (672). The host school won the event with 857 points, followed by UNH (728), Middlebury and Dartmouth (635). On the final day of competition, the women’s nordic team earned a second place finish in the 5K freestyle event.

Stella Holt had another big day after placing third in the sprint event yesterday, placing fourth overall with a time of 15:00.3. Heather Mooney broke into the top 10 in eighth place in 15:09, followed by Kaitlin Fink in 13th (15:18).

On the men’s side, Austin Cobb again paced the team, coming in 11th place overall with a time of 26:39 in the 10K freestyle race. Adam Luban was next for the Panthers in 26th place (27:31), followed by Dylan McGarthwaite in 30th place (27:40).

Races were held at the Trapp Family Lodge.
