Middlebury Takes Two At Skidmore, Sets School Record For Wins

4/22/04 - Middlebury set a school record for wins and improved to 18-6 on the season as they took a pair on the road at Skidmore. In game one, the Panthers broke open a 1-0 game with seven runs in the seventh inning to earn an 8-0 win. Jennifer Williams threw six shutout innings, allowing just three hits. Megan McCarthy struck out the side in the seventh. Ellen Sargent was 1-3 in the game with a two-run double, while Christina Freyer and Victoria Glowacky also had doubles. (box)

In game two, Middlebury scored 11 runs in the first three innings on its way to a 12-4 win in a six inning game. Lauren Bowe picked up the complete game win for the Panthers. Williams went 3-5 with a two-run double, while Lauren Guza was 3-4 with two runs scored. Michaela George went 3-5 with two runs scored, while Freyer, McCarthy and Lauren Battaglia had two hits apiece. (box)
