Sargent & Cannella Earn NESCAC Honors

Senior Ellen Sargent (St. Albans, Vt.) and junior Katelyn Cannella (Pleasantville, N.Y.) earned second-team All-NESCAC honors when the post-season team was announced by the league. The duo helped lead the Panthers to another 20 win season, as they finished the year with a 21-12 mark.

Sargent ended the season as the team's leading hitter at .389 on the season. The senior first-basemen was tied for the team lead with six doubles and three home runs on the season. She drove in 13 runs in '07, walked 11 times, while owning a .625 slugging percentage. She ends her career with a .354 batting average and a dozen doubles.

Cannella hit .353 this season as the team's lead-off hitter and center fielder. The junior led the team with 29 runs scored while hitting three doubles, two triples and a homer. She also paced the squad with 14 stolen bases and four sacrifice bunts.
