Margel Earns NESCAC Honors For Second Straight Year

Middlebury College softball player Megan Margel (Ridgewood, N.J.) has earned second-team All-NESCAC honors for the second consecutive season. The sophomore had another impressive season for the 17-15 Panthers, starting all 32 games this spring. Margel led the team with a .398 average and now owns a career average of .378. She paced the team with 39 hits, while also lacing six doubles and 15 RBI. She owned a .443 on-base percentage, while fielding at a .990 clip at first base. Margel had a dozen multiple-hit games this season, including three hits vs. Hamilton and Carleton.
