
The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams hosted their annual invitational meet, with Williams, Amherst and Springfield in town to compete against the Panthers. Several Middlebury athletes turned in top performances, with three different relay teams winning events.
Due to widespread illness throughout the men's and women's squads, the Middlebury swimming and diving teams will not compete at Williams on Saturday, January 28th. The Panthers will return to action on February 3-4 when they host the Middlebury Invitational.
Middlebury had little trouble with Union, as the Panther men and women picked up victories at home. The women's team earned a 226-67 win and took all but one event, while the men earned a 174-124 victory.
The Panther swimming and diving teams returned to action with home wins over Hamilton. The men emerged with a 167-65 victory, while the women came away with a 164-78 win.
The Middlebury swimming and diving teams returned to action from the semester break with a pair of meets in Maine over the weekend. On Saturday at Colby, the women finished with a 173-103 win, while the men came away with a 164-127 win. Sunday, the women topped Bates 154-134, while the men fell 152-142.
