
The Middlebury swim team finished 26th among 54 scoring teams at the 2012 NCAA Championships at IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Panther Andrea Tibbetts earned All-American honors with a sixth place finish in the 100 back.
Eight members of the Middlebury College women’s swim team will take part in the 2012 NCAA Championships from March 21-24. The championships are taking place at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Middlebury men's swimming and diving team held on to seventh place throughout the NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Williams College. The Ephs won the event with 2,011 points, followed by Amherst with 1,959, while the Panthers earned 646.5 points.
Ten members of the Middlebury College women’s swim team recently earned All-Conference honors. The top three finishers in each event at the 2012 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships received All-Conference recognition. Andrea Tibbetts earned the honor in seven different events, while Nora Daly and Jamie Hillas each earned the honor three times.
Williams College will host the rest of the conference for the 2012 NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. The three-day meet, now in its 12th year, begins on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Samuelson-Muir Pool in Williamstown, Mass. with preliminary heats every morning followed by championship races in the early evening.
